Description

The software test engineer will generate test plans and procedures, and execute tests to verify the implementation of customer requirements. Technical expertise with TCP/IP protocols is required and the candidate will have experience configuring computers with various versions of Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems. Ability to configure open source software and emulation software such as VMWare is desirable. An in-depth understanding of scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, Python is also desirable. This position requires frequent use and extensive application of test engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Candidate will provide technical leadership and creative testing solutions to a wide range of software applications on projects from proposal to delivery. Position requires a demonstrated track record of developing technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is required, with a minimum of 9 years of experience or 7 years experience with a Masters degree. The ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance is required. Basic Qualifications: BS CS, EE, CE or related field, minimum 9 years experience with above essential skills and the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: MS CS, EE, CE or related field, minimum 7 years experience with above essential skills and a Top Secret Clearance Work Location: Xetron Facility - Cincinnati OH -- Common Job Description: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. Relocation Assistance Available. Security Clearance Required.
